| *Despicable Me 2* (2013) is an animated comedy and the sequel to the 2010 film *Despicable Me*. The story follows Gru, a former supervillain, who is now trying to live a quiet life as a father to his three adopted daughters. However, he is recruited by the Anti-Villain League (AVL) to help capture a new villain named El Macho, who is plotting to take over the world.
